How Nike Maintains it's Environmental Impact

Nike is a company that everybody knows. from shoes, to activewear, nike has somehow influenced the lives of almost every American, and even more people on a global scale. so this begs the question of how does nike keep its footprint on the environment minimal. To begin, we will go back to the year 1979. In that year, Nike made a gaol to create a shoe that used as little material as possible, while  still maintaining the quality, and performance of a good shoe. From this idea, the Nike AIR brand was born. The Nike Air brand was the first of nikes efforts to help create less of an impact on our environment. They did this by using exactly what the product advertised: creating a mid-soul out of air. Nike later decided that they would continue their efforts by creating more product out of recycled materials. a few examples include shoes, and community basketball courts. Nike has also been active in partnerships with companies such as Bluesign in efforts to create more sustainable materials that have a smaller impact on the environment. In conclusion, like all companies Nike has left a big footprint on our environment, but they have done a good job at trying too mange, and shrink the harm that they do
